Meet Elizabeth

Elizabeth Love grew up in the Chicago suburb of Oak Park, IL. After receiving a Master’s degree in Child Development from Loyola University, Chicago, Elizabeth taught for eight years at Metropolitan Montessori School in New York City. She received a Pastry Degree from Tante Marie Cooking School in San Francisco in 2010.  Currently she resides in Marin County CA with her three daughters and her dog Caleb.

Our Story

An avowed "lake girl", Elizabeth discovered an unexpected passion for cold water Northern California surfing upon arriving to California’s Northern Coast. Frequent trips to Proof Lab, a local surf shop, to purchase needed equipment led to a “crafty” exchange of her homemade cookies for a new surfboard. With the new surfboard in hand, and rave reviews from Proof Lab's customers, Elizabeth's cookie business expanded to other local surf shops and establishments. It was from this clever exchange, that Epic Cooking School was born, The name “epic” is a term meaning over-the-top, impressive, incredible…the desired effect Elizabeth has for all of her classes, camps and parties. Epic Cooking School (formerly Epic Bakery) has grown into Marin County’s premier cooking and baking school, serving over 1000 families in its nine years of operation.
